Urban Partners Los Angeles on ABC 7 News!

05Dec

Our volunteer Executive Director Rochelle McAdam was featured on ABC 7 News discussing our Groceries for our Neighbors food bank.

Reporter Anabel Munoz covers the Trump administration’s rollback of food stamp benefits which will affect 200,000 low-income Californians. Watch the coverage on ABC 7 News.

Over the past year, we’ve seen a 40% increase in attendance for the Groceries for our Neighbors food distribution program. With economic hardship on the rise, these proposed policy changes will increase food insecurity, impacting millions of children and families from marginalized communities and will further deepen inequality.

Most of our patrons are elderly and working families struggling to make ends meet. We understand that tough times may be ahead for many and are deeply committed to our Groceries program and will continue expanding our efforts to offer food assistance and service to vulnerable community members. Join us every Saturday morning from 8am to 10am and lend a helping hand. ??
